The Story: The critically endangered Cyclura ricordi, also known as the Hispaniola ground iguana and Ricord's ground or rock iguana, is in great peril mainly due to loss of habitat and human encroachment. The Ricord's Iguana is endemic to the savannas and scrublands of The Dominican Republic and Haiti.
